 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Brooks did not play Collison enough. Seriously.
Ibaka struggled MIGHTILY, and should have probably been swapped for Collison most of this series.
BUT... Durant is seriously going to be insanely great. He's just scratching the surface.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Our team is heading home between now and 2:00 and the road heading to the Airport is stuffed with traffic. I just heard that on the radio. Sounds like we'll have lots of people greeting the Thunder home.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
KD will be good but nowhere near LeBron. For being a big fan, Durant cant handle the ball ,it's all Westbrook.
In this way LeBron forced his involvement despite the Thunders efforts. Durant is always going to be an off the ball weapon of mass destruction, but off the ball it will be & that is a serious flaw in ones game.

Draft is tonight. Cleveland picks #4, and hopefully MKG will be there. Davis will be #1, Beal will be #3. We only need Michael Jordan to screw up his pick.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Bryan Colangelo is going down in flames right now. First we draft Ross over Drummond because an older shooter will fit better than a young project big beside Nash, then we offer him a cray contract and he still says no, so we pay 20 million to Fields just to screw up the Suns sign and trade with the Knicks (good idea, I'm sure annoying a FA by taking away his #1 option is going to woo him to sign with you when he already said no, plus what a chicken shit unproffesional move in general), then he's still going to NY but with Shumpert in Fields' place apparently. We basically went all in for a 38 year old PG to go beside one of the least talented/youngest teams in the league. Colangelo basically knows his only chance of not getting fired was signing Nash and making the bosses a ton of money, and he's in total panic mode. Hilarious week for the Raptors. Get this clown out.

Good for Nash.
Sucky for the Suns, but at least they got something for him.

Lakers at least will be fun to watch. Though still probably won't be able to beat OKC.

This move just made The Lakers title contenders, I'm hoping they can trade Gasol for Josh Smith and Bynum for Howard

Kidd to NYK.
Dallas is having the worst offseason in franchise history. Complete devastation. It's really not out of the question that Dirk gets traded by the trade deadline. If the team has a bad first half, I could easily see him being frustrated and wanting to get out.
Oh well. It was 12 years of fun with one glorious postseason that will never be forgotten. It sucks it has to end like this but it was going to end.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
though the burning of the Mavs franchise just shows how insane that playoff run was. I think you could make a very strong case that no player post 1980 (i.e. the modern NBA) has carried his team more to a championship than Dirk did. The pieces around him really weren't great, hence why no FA want to choose Dallas. He fueled everything that year.

I'm predicting Dirk has a season ending injury early next year. Dallas will bottom out and have a top 5 pick to rebuild around.

I love Ray Allen, but I hate that he abandoned the Celtics, who were giving him MORE money and a no trade clause in his contract, for the Heat. The HEAT.

Apparently, another NBA ring is more important that millions of more dollars. That's crazy. I'm sure he's rich but to give up more money just to be on the championship team? It's not like the Celtics are terrible.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
It's dumb. I understand wanting another ring, but c'mon.
They were SO close to beating the Heat in the conference finals despite dealing with injuries. Celtics could have definitely made another run at this. But instead, he abandoned Garnett and Pierce and all the Boston fans just to jump onto the Heat for another ring, but for less money?

Yeah just like he abandoned the Sonics and how Garnett abandoned the T-Wolves.
Cry me a fucking river. Allen won a ring with them. Get over it Boston.
