For weeks people have been saying Thor has no chance at $180m. And every week I stood baffled. And even now people doubt it. If it was a doubt in hundred of thousands I'd get it, but I really can't figure out why some still see $178-179m as tops. Domestic Total as of Jun. 30, 2011: $177,516,000 Jun...

Here's his posting history . He's clearly a sock puppet for one of our existing KJ members as one can see by the familiarity with which he throws around insults. A bit of an creepy MO though - - with 106 posts and a registration date in 2008. So who's got the scoop - - who's this Zuule character? C...

i am surprised Hangover 2 is sprouting legs. I found it derivative and insultingly obnoxious about its "we know we did this before and we are going to do it again and throw it in your face" approach. There was a much more entertaining film not shot but talked about - would have really like...

Magnus' club is not dead yet. Thor hasn't broken 180M yet and the road to that number just got much much tougher with the theater drops it had this weekend and the ones that are coming next weekend. But Captain America may do it. But its got several things working against it...a late summer start, a...

GreenLantern. Not nearly as bad as the critics made it out to be and not nearly as dissapointing as i was expecting. Got to admit the backstory is only something a 14 year old virgin would come up with, which works cause lets face it, comic book heroes for the most part cater to the teen set and tho...

Thor aint breaking 180m. It's going to drop hard over from here on out. Thor...only if our village idiot starts booking out theaters with his retirement funds. Green Lantern....No Way, the cgi looks too cgi and its just too damn green...actually the batman wannabe voice growl is even worse than batmans. As much as i like the lead he just cant carry a film past 200 by hi...

Lol I am imagine some people are slapping themselves over why they did not make a sequel to There is Something about Mary early on last decade... :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny: Yeah I always wondered that because it would have been huge at the time. not surprised at the underwhelming performance of Panda. I liked the first film. The second is not bad but its not great. Characters are lackluster and the story is nowhere near as clever as the first. They should have waited till they had a really good marketable concept for a sequel. The villian f...

23 M is still very good for a property like Thor.

Opening weekend like Hulk 1 and 2 and slightly better drop off but not much.

Gonna take a hit next weekend with Priest which caters to the same demo and then another big hit with Pirates the following weekend.

Thor better make its cash fast.

THOR 165 M domestic +/- 20 M Tops. Seen it. Its cute but nothing special, and i heard that Natalie Portman studied for a year to play a scientist, and 95 % of the shots are her. Problem is film felt short, very short, and the evil frost giants were pretty forgettable excuse for cgi. Lead was decent,...
