Wow, I'm surprised Moonlight held as much of GW viewers as it did. That's impressive. We'll see how well it holds up next week.

Heh. Idiots. I guess I answered my question.

Or Prison Break, for that matter.

I'm sad that the premiere ratings were lower.
:tears:

But I'm glad the second episode almost matched that number.

I love GW, pretty much my favourite show besides Heroe's and Grey's. Last nights premiere was great, Moonlight which I watched today bored me and was really cheesy, more so than GW which knows what it is.

Re: Friday (9/28/07)
Considering GW and Numbers are down on CBS, I'd say that's a fairly solid opener for Moonlight. GW seems to be the old reliable for that time period, and it shows that CBS isn't just crime dramas. I hope they stick with it. It's better than most would think (or not, depending on your level of standards).

Still didn't catch Moonlight, though. I might watch the rerun tonight.

I don't get Marc Berman. He writes a note at the beginning stressing how the DVR levels are up by a large margin from 2006, yet he still continues to compare every show year-to-year.

But only Moonlight, which he predicted as being the first show to be canceled, gets bashed for being down.

I guess he's still peeved about predicting Jericho to get canceled first last season?

He should be used to being wrong about everything he predicts.

Eh, I still doubt it lasts to November sweeps before getting replaced by CSI repeats. Not that Berman's douchey commentary is excused or anything.

It's too early to say about Moonlight, but Berman's other big prediction this season was that Gossip Girl would be the big breakout new show. He just does not know how to call things ever. I think the only time he ever got anything right was when 7th Heaven came back for ANOTHER season. Which ended up being a huge mistake.

Speaking of Saturday, I really think CBS should've tried moving Close to Home there this season to see how does instead of canceling it, as it was still a pretty good performer. If it failed, then they could just move it to the timeslot of whatever show gets canceled first. I don't think it would be THAT much of a gamble.

Re: Friday (9/28/07)
I'd care. :(

Atleast we'll then see how Heroes are nowhere to be found there.

Yes, but no one really cares about them. The only new shows are Cops and America's Most Wanted. The rest are repeats, pretty much.

Re: Friday (9/28/07)
Ya pretty much, if it follows GW it'll get a full season, since it retained most of it's audience. We'll see how it holds up next week though.

Re: Friday (9/28/07)
Very bad. Completely cheesy, predictable, unlikable leads. When they were recasting the whole show, the first person they should've recast was O'Loughlin.

But I have not seen much in the way of promotion, so I was unaware of that. But with everything else down as much as it is, I don't think you can label this as anything other than good for what it's working with. If it can hold this (and, no matter how horrible it is, I don't doubt it will, thank you Friday Night Lights) it's at least set for a full season.

Re: Friday (9/28/07)
It got heavy promotion up here, I thought it would have gotten over 10. I was going to add though it did well keeping most of GW's audience.

Was it that bad? I downloaded the episode, I want to see how it is. I dont think I'll like it.

Not to fantastic for Moonlight. Good for Ghost Whisperer but it took a hit, maybe by the Kingdom since it's was more adult themed movie. But GW always goes up and down, staying around 10 mill, good enough for CBS on a friday night.

I'm confused. Moonlight kept its lead in and increased in the demo. How is that not too fantastic, but good for Ghost Whisperer? I admit, Moonlight was pretty crap and I'm surprised it did as well as it did, but how is that bad?

Re: Friday (9/28/07)
CBS should have kept Close to Home, even if for a 13 episode order to air mid-season instead of repeats.

Re: Friday (9/28/07)
Aw, CBS can't even rely on old people to stick around for Fridays.

I don't see any problems with posting Friday numbers today, especially since the ratings now have their own forum. And I'm rather interested in seeing how Friday Night Lights does next week.

Friday (9/28/07)
Hope no one minds, but I was actually interested in these this week, so I had looked it up anyway.

1. "Numb3rs" (CBS) 9.17
2. "Las Vegas" (NBC) 9.11
3. "Ghost Whisperer" (CBS) 8.67
4. "Moonlight" (CBS) 8.62
5. "Deal or No Deal" (NBC) 7.45
6. "20/20" (ABC) 6.25
7. "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" (FOX) 5.11
8. "Friday Night Smackdown!" (CW) 4.91
9. "Just For Laughs" (ABC) 4.15
10. "K-Ville" (R, FOX) 1.30

Also, I don't know how keen anyone else is on posting demos, but I don't think it's a bad idea.

1. "Numb3rs" (CBS) 2.5
1. "Moonlight" (CBS) 2.5
3. "Las Vegas" (NBC) 2.4
3. "Ghost Whisperer" (CBS) 2.4
5. "Deal or No Deal" (NBC) 1.8
6. 20/20 (ABC) 1.7
7. "Friday Night Smackdown!" (CW) 1.6
