The book is one of the best-selling books ever. The film stars one of the biggest box-office draws today, Tom Hanks, and is directed by Ron Howard. There’s no reason to believe that the film won’t be a hit. With the perfect summer release date, the film should capitalize on the adult audiences throughout May and June. Hype for the film is quite big. An opening above $60 million should be expected, and with summer weekdays, a long run should result. Look for at least $200 million in the box-office.
