Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is down a mere 5% compared to last weekend, and has now exceeded 4 million admissions for a 24 day gross exceeding 6 billion yen ($76 million).
Debut in second place was latest Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sensei film, 199 Hero Great Battle. The film opened on 282 screens, mobilizing an impressive 249,007 people to gross 288,610,400 yen ($3.6 million). By comparison, the opening is 153% better than last Janurary's Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sensei film.
Paradise Kiss drops just one spot, ranking third it's sophmore weekend.
Coming in at a disappointing fourth place was X-Men: First Class. No figures have been released yet, but it's the weakest debut in the series.
Debuting in sixth place was Hoshi Mamoru Inu, starring Nishida Toshiyuki. Released on 317 screens, the film attracted 119,297 moviegoers to gross 144,082,600 yen ($1.8 million).
And the final opener this weekend, Samurai Sheath, debut in eighth place.
