Super 8 is looking to open as a soft number 1 at 28.1M this weekend. At number 2 will be X-men FC at 22.3M drop of almost 60%, which is less of a 2nd week drop than the prevouis X-Men movie Wolverine (69%). Looking at 3 this weekend looks to be Kung Fu Panda 2 at 16M, with only a 33% drop with Paramount helping it to give Panda a boost with the opening of Super 8. At 4 will be Hangover Part 2 easing another 52% for 15.1M At number 5 will be On Strange Tides for 10.1M . At 6 will be Bridesmaids with another very good hold drop only 19% for 9.7M. At 7 will be Midnight in Paris going wide this week for another 7M. At 8 will be the other opener Judy Moody and The Not Bummer Summer being a from a less known book than Ramona & Beezus it is looking at a smaller opening than that movie, opening near or just under tracking for 4.8M for this weekend. At 9 will be Thor for 2.3M, and at 10 for it last week in the top 10 is Fast Five at 1.6M.
