All the recent animated hits had much smaller drops in second weekend. Possible recall only Shrek the Third in 2007, which crashed by 71%. Then it also opposed Pirates of the Caribbean. Nevertheless, the animated sequel from studio DreamWorks will bypass to next weekend the Rio, which stopped at $24.82M.

The Hangover Part II (domestic title - "Bachelor Party 2: From Vegas to Bangkok"), debuted with a second place with $5.08M. This is the best start among Hollywood comedies and more than in three times higher than the first part. However, the film has a smaller number of tickets sold (647 vs. 655 thousand) than the romantic comedy Just Go with It, but which did not have such a high age restriction.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides added to its solid revenue $3.85M and reached the second place among the highest-grossing films. Avatar is certainly not accessible, but in the total number of viewers (now 6.63 million) adventures of Jack Sparrow are still only in seventh place. 

Updated X-Men: First Class came the world premiere, earned only $3.58M, and did not even make in the top three. This result is slightly smaller than the spin-off X-Men Origins: Wolverine ($3.74M) and nearly twice that of Thor ($6.60M). Number of viewers (515 thousand) corresponds to the Watchmen (543 thousand), where the action also takes place during the Cold War.
