The large-scale fantastic action Battle: Los Angeles occupied the first place not only in U.S. but also in Russia. The film was released on the 661 screen, and earned for three days $4.54M. This is the best start for foreign releases over the last two months, but less than the Skyline.
Mars Needs Moms 3D after the first day had only $0.12M, but then was able to properly put on days off, earning eventually $2.30M. In Russia, the animation project had no competitors among the younger audience, unlike the U.S., where already released Rango. In addition cartoon had the active advertising on TV, that closer to the result of Gnomeo & Juliet 3D ($2.39M).
The Russian comedy "Lyubov-morkov 3" came down to third place with $1.62M. Now this project has $7.52 M. The final result is seen in the $ 9-million mark, that exactly half of the second part.
No Strings Attached incurred almost imperceptible 12% drop. Romantic comedy took $5.34M after two weeks. Drive Angry 3D has now earned in Russia only two times less than in the U.S.: $5.02 M vs. $ 10.31 M. The Adjustment Bureau showed a minimal decrease (11%) in the TOP10, adding $0.98M.
The French action adventure Largo Winch 2 started from the seventh line with $0.92M. The first part was a total of $1.04M, so this result can be considered quite successful.
This weekend has caused considerable excitement in movie theaters. The boxoffice of Top Ten increased by 32%. The next weekend can sustain this success when will release several ambitious projects.
