Russia and CIS: February 17-20, Results

"Vykrutasy" by Timur Bekmambetov (http://www.kino-n-sport.ru/news/trailer/id/744) started confidently from the first position and earned  $4,49M on 797 screens. The second one was  Gnomeo & Juliet.  $2,39M on 830 screens. It could be considered a success in this weekend. Toy Story 3 and Open Season 3 had the similar results.

The other openers of this week reached much weaker results. Unknown with Liam Neeson was only the sixth with $0,80M. This fact  proves one more time that our male audience prefers pure action than the twisted thriller.

127 hours landed on the seventh position with $0,39M on 197 screens, surpassing the results of Frozen (150 screens, $0,33M) and Buried (125 screens, $0,31M).
Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger started even worse, bypassing the Top Ten. A placement of pirated copies on the torrents is very painfully for such movies.

Black Swan has the lowest drop among nationwide releases and passes $3M. Sanctum 3D has now earned $7,87M, while The Green Hornet 3D  - $6,30M. The Eagle took $3,5M after two weeks.
