About Us

The World of KJ offers a variety of opinions and facts on anything and everything regarding movies. On this site you can expect to find various reviews of (past and newly released) movies, articles dealing with the box office aspects of cinema, news related to a movie, actor, or director, and various other opinions and articles related to film.

Background

The World of KJ was first viewable via the Internet on July 12th, 2004. In it's infancy it was a very simple site, serving only to archive the reviews of a select few who held hopes of one day becoming a critic in some capacity, and others who simply wanted their voice to be heard. Unfortunately for them, all that was heard was an echo.

In late 2004, many people from across the globe descended upon our hallowed halls, seeking shelter as they fled in sheer terror from a site-that-must-not-be-named. The influx of users to such a small site quickly showed both positives and negatives.

It soon became apparent that our hosting plan was inadequate to continue operating. Decisions had to be made regarding the future of the site, and there was not much time in which to dwell on things.

The direction of the site clearly had to change to better satisfy our new guests, and quickly I set out to decide on the correct course of action, if one existed. It became clear that while we had a dedicated community, new users were required to cultivate the desired atmosphere. To accomplish this, it became necessary to improve and broaden the reach of the main site, with the goal of attracting, growing, and retaining a group of cult like followers willing to worship my golden likeness.

Where we are today

The site has grown considerably since July 2004, and it is our hope that we continue to grow. We have recently launched a brand new design that will hopefully be the face of KJ for a long time to come. We are constantly evolving and trying to better serve our growing community and as such, you can always feel free to contact us via email or forum with any ideas you may have for the future of the site.
